Challenging role in a changing environment for an experienced Learning and Development Specialist! An interesting interim assingment for 4 months (maternity leave replacement) with the starting date at the beginning of October 2019!


The L&D Specialist is responsible for design and development of engaging and impactful L&D programs and interventions at scale, based on deep employee insight and smart use of (digital) technology. You will play a key role in creating ever more personal and collaborative professional development experiences and performance support solutions at work (70|20|10) for the staff worldwide. Position concerns a maturity leave replacement in the newly formed team (per July 1st 2019) of L&D Specialists in the Global HR Centre. You will report into the Global Manager L&D.


In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • L&D Design & Development – You support in development of a capability framework for supply chain and take the lead in design and implementation of concrete development interventions;
  • L&D Technology– You support in the specification, optimization and implementation of relevant L&D technology standards;
  • L&D Processes – You support in professionalizing our L&D processes;
  • Strong Vendor Base – You work closely with select L&D partners;
  • Consultancy – You offer select L&D consultation as needed and prioritized to business, function and local teams;
  • Communications – You support communications and change management initiatives around our programs and help build a strong L&D community.

Functie eisen

To be successful in this position, you have/are:

  • Academic Master think-work level in relevant area;
  • Minimum 4 years’ Corporate L&D experience in a medium size to large size organization;
  • Agile and Scrum expierence;
  • Eager learner and strong team player, both in mindset and execution


  • Design and deployment of learning interventions;
  • Knowledge of and experience in learning techniques, technologies and analytics;
  • Project management;
  • Consultative relationship building;
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge of Dutch, other languages are a plus.
